Sesame Tuile Cookies

Sesame Tuile Cookies are little, thin cookies that taste nutty and have a great crunch from the sesame seeds. You can enjoy them as a sweet treat with a coffee or tea.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup 115g unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup 100g granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup 60ml sesame seeds
  • 1/2 cup 60g all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large egg whites

Instructions:

Warm your oven up to 350F 175C and put parchment paper on a baking sheet

The softened butter and granulated sugar should be mixed together in a bowl until the mixture is light and fluffy

To the butter and sugar mix, add the all-purpose flour, salt, and vanilla extract

Mix everything together well

Beat the egg whites in a different bowl until they form stiff peaks

Fold the egg whites into the sesame seed mixture very slowly until the batter is smooth

Place small spoonfuls of the batter on the baking sheet that has been prepared, leaving at least 2 inches between each one

Spread the batter out into thin rounds about 3 inches across with the back of a spoon

After the oven is hot, bake the cookies for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the edges turn golden brown

After taking the cookies out of the oven, let them cool for one minute on the baking sheet before moving them to a wire rack to cool all the way

As they cool, they'll get crisp

Enjoy your home-made sesame tuile cookies once they are completely cool
