Slow Cooker Buttery Bacon Green Beans



This slow cooker recipe makes a comforting side dish that goes well with any meal. It has butter, crispy bacon, and tender green beans. Slow cooking lets the flavors blend together beautifully, making a dish that is easy to make and tastes great.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 6 slices bacon, diced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth

Instructions:

In a skillet, cook diced bacon until crispy

Drain excess fat

In a slow cooker, combine green beans, cooked bacon, butter, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using

Pour chicken broth over the mixture

Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or until green beans are tender

Stir occasionally during cooking

Once cooked, taste and adjust seasoning if necessary

Serve hot, garnished with additional bacon bits if desired
